Hart has probably had the most influence on me of any living theologian and writer, so I was very gratified to get the chance to do this.

His new book is a massive and challenging tome on philosophy of mind, but it was truly exceptional. The review took me a bit longer to write than anticipated because I had to revisit a lot of the history of evolutionary biology. There's more to say on that front, and I plan to expand my discussion of evolution and reductionism in a future post.
